Early 1940s vintage Hollywood style suit jacket in a black and white bold wool hounds tooth design with a shapely curvy fit.
This 40s vintage jacket is extremely fitted with 4 contrasting pockets accented with working buttons.
It has darts in the front and a tiny nipped in fitted waist.
This jacket has no collar and it has those small puffed shoulders of the early war era 40s. The sleeves are extremely slim and narrow.
Wool and unlined and most likely home sewn in the 40s.
Extremely Small.
Bust must be smaller than 32"
Waist only 24" unless left open
High hips 30" unless left open.
Across the shoulders it is only 12 1/2".
21" long.
This garment is wool and it Does Not stretch.
It is that scratchy old wool.

Unfortunately, this fabulous 40s jacket does have damage. It has a few moth holes but these are really not seen because of the bold checks. Some are the size of the hounds tooth blocks. There about 6 on the front but these could be pulled together to make them less visible. The largest is on the left front bottom.
Great for a pin up photo shoot ,costuming,design or theater. Even still wearable for the 40s lover. Or as a pattern.
