Early 1950s vintage New Look era black clam shell straw hat with large red roses and long cage veil.
This gorgeous vintage hat sits toward the back of the head and has a peaked brim.
Two large lipstick red roses with buds and green leaves adorn the crown covering almost the whole crown.
It is a flat clam shell type reminiscent of the I Love Lucy era hats.
This one is from the very early 1950s New Look era of tiny waists and larger hats.
It is wide black woven straw and it has a front stiffened ribbon brim of red to match the roses. The veil is a honeycomb cage type and it attached to the top of the hat.

In excellent condition. Only the rose flowers need to be steamed to fluff them up and the veil is very good.
